Do you know who you are?
Before you answer the question, I want to let you know that I’m not talking about you as “somebody” who has a name, a profession, a sense of identity that is based on race, gender, skills and social status.
What I’m talking about is much deeper. That which can only be sensed deeply within. That which never goes away, even though it can be obscured by your thinking about yourself. That which can never get hurt, or need healing.
Do you know what that is?
Lack of a better word, I call it the Zero point.
It might sound silly. But somehow, number Zero has a great spiritual meaning to me. It’s the point where one has a beginner’s mind, Zen mind. It never ends and at the same time, the beginning of all things.
It’s pure. Contains no judgement, discrimination, and preferences.
At the same time, it can embrace anything that shows up.
My journey to Zero has not been easy. I also don’t think anyone who has been on a spiritual journey would look back and said that their journey was an easy one!
During the process of my spiritual transcendence, I found myself writing lots of poems. They were my source of comfort and understanding of what I had to go through.
I never thought that it would be something I would want to share with the world. It was too personal, and too painful sometimes.
But I was wrong. Because the wisdom that flows through the poems was never meant to be kept for me alone. And Life wants me to share it.
So here I am, working on my first book “Journey to Zero”, a compilation of 33 poems, reflections and artworks/images.
The book will be launched in late 2019. If you’re interested, I invite you to sign up for my ZenLetter at the bottom of this page, and you would be the first to know about the launch.
Thank you for reading to the end, and with all my heart, I wish you joy, happiness and peace.
